President Trump Trolls Missouri with “Eric” Senate Pick After Prior Trolling of OH and PA Races

I am going to be clear from the start that I am not taking a dump on President Trump. Reality Shed is a MAGA site. That is with or without him, although the preference is obviously with. I voted for Donald Trump twice in 2016 (Primary and General) and twice again in 2020 (ditto), and plan to vote for him in 2024 (my dream ticket being Trump / DeSantis).

Trump’s record on 2022 endorsements (145-11 as of June 30) is amazing although he has chosen some RINOs. Which brings us to Missouri and today (August 02, 2022). At one point at least 21 candidates were running for Missouri U.S. Senate seat on the Republican side alone. The top three being Eric Schmitt, Eric Greitens and Vicky Hartzler, the only ones in double digits (ranging from 13% to 28%). So nobody is running away with this thing and no matter who wins it today lots of Republicans in Missouri will be unhappy.

Missouri native Dana Loesch gave a detailed analysis of the race yesterday on her radio / Real America’s Voice show. In December 2021 she also endorsed an Eric…Schmitt that is…although even she realizes the situation is less than ideal. In fact 44% of those in a recent poll said they would be swayed by a Donald Trump endorsement in the race so what he did end up doing was a bit odd.

For reasons known only to himself, President Trump has decided that ‘celebrity’ sometimes…wait for it…trumps Conservative principles in the 2022 midterms and has eschewed true believers in populism for known Trump haters and Oprah friends on occasion.

Trump’s statement ended with “I trust the great People of Missouri, on this one, to make up their own minds, much as they did when they gave me landslide victories in the 2016 and 2020 Elections, and I am therefore proud to announce that ERIC has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” And yes he all capped the first name (pretending to be clear), so with two Eric’s still in the race the master troll had struck again.

Much like Ohio, which had a MAGA supporting Marine who had won statewide election as Attorney General before (Josh Mandel, who was leading in the polls before Trump got involved), and Pennsylvania, which had a strong MAGA supporting black woman (Kathy Barnette), ‘We The People’ will again be forced to endure an inferior result. Pity that Trump did not trust OH and PA “on this one”. Now they are stuck with original never trumper and MAGA hater Vance in Ohio and Turkish citizen, WEF favorite, Jussie hoax supporter and 2A hater Oz in PA.

Missouri will end up with AN ‘Eric’ but it may not be the one they want or deserve as our election system veers more towards a European style ‘democracy'[SIC] and away from a Republic (see OH and PA results below). Nobody is perfect and sometimes it isn’t appropriate to crack a joke or stick your nose in. The absolute truth is that President Trump didn’t want to take a loss here and decided to cover his own ass, as he can claim victory either way now. The real question is will ‘Eric’ want President Trump to campaign with or for him in the Fall?

J.D. Vance 32.2%, 344736 votes
Josh Mandel 23.9%, 255854 votes
Matt Dolan 23.3% 249239 votes (actually no chance since his family OWNED the MLB Indians and ̶c̶h̶a̶n̶g̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶n̶a̶m̶e̶ folded the team)
nobody else above 6.0% and if you add up the other 4 in the race they would still finish a closer than PA was 4th.

Mehmet Oz 31.2%, 419834 votes
David McCormick 31.1%, 418,868 votes
Kathy Barnette 24.7% 331,776 votes
nobody else above 6.0% and if you add up the other 4 in the race they would still finish a distant 4th.
