Fundraising Whore Says What?, Reality Shed Reply To NOTSOfreerepublic Banning

This won’t be long. Just had someone stick their finger in our chest and we want our say, which is the entire point of starting a web site (honestly, Breitbart banning the word ‘monkey’ in Disqus comments on an article about Covid shots for zoo animals was what initiated the idea, especially when John Nolte can curse whenever he wants to). So when you have a unique take on things and you want people to see it you put it online and look for ways to promote it. One such place we used was the so-called “freerepublic” (FR from now on to save time), which actually has a section called “Bloggers & Personal”(!) which is where we always posted. We got some good traffic from there and would say it was the #2 source overall (see below).

It isn’t getting banned earlier today as much as who is doing it (an alleged fellow Conservative) and how they did it (see picture). This wasn’t a shock as they always had super strict rules and formatting, plus snide emails from management telling you that you did things wrong but never telling you how to do them correctly (and NO, it was never obvious). Every time we posted we knocked wood and cross our fingers…seriously. Didn’t even get that far today, as just clicking Post on the main page led to a dead end (and no we did not click Okay).

A few years back, we were very active there and posted links to articles and videos, always pro-MAGA, pro-Trump, Conservative content and from a wide variety of sources. One of those was Whatfinger News aggregator, the Conservative replacement for ‘drat smudge of the smudge abort‘. One day, FR banned links from Whatfinger News (and no other sites). At the time, we wrote a nice little note to FR letting them know how they cut their nose off to spite their face as Whatfinger News had way more traffic than they did AND HAD PUT A PROMINENT LINK TO FR RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THEIR PAGE (under video bar) IN THE MIDDLE which had been up over a year by that time, but we never sent the note. We did notify Whatfinger News and after a few weeks (we guess they finally checked into it) the link to FR vanished. FR cost themselves a lot of traffic and exposure, and we had a good laugh over that.

We are still on Gab, Gettr, and reluctantly also Twitter. Whatfinger News found us and links on occasion (and thank you to them for that as they are our #1 source of traffic, well above FR). We will look for other actual Conservative sites that don’t stifle free speech. And to the jackass who runs FR, super commie move by you, but obviously the once every 12 hours or so we posted a link REALLY hurt you. What the fuck do you have a blogger section for if not for blogger links to be posted though, asshole? And to the suckers who continue to donate to that pretend conservative know that he sees you people as a personal ATM (what with programs for “Monthly Donors”, “Dollar-a-Day Donors”, “300 Club Donors”, links to CC and Paypal, a mail-in request AND the NEVER ENDING non-stop “Quarterly Fundraising” of $80,000 (x4 = $320,000 per year). Wake up folks, there is NO WAY it costs more than $1,000 a day (all funding methods added up) to run that 1990’s text-based bulletin board-looking site. Quite the scam you have going FR.
