Spread the reality, RealityShed.Com --
Some falsely claim that those who support President Trump and MAGA (Make America Great Again) do so blindly and or worship Trump as a divine being. We’ve never met anyone like that, and don’t even know of any. So the Reality Shed fact checkers have fact checked those types of comments and found them to be FALSE.
We’ve been accused of several untrue things since the site went up. Not as bad as President Trump has been, but it still makes you wonder why someone will judge you by a headline or meme rather than taking the time to read the article it relates to.
Now some on OUR side have gone ballistic about a ‘truth’ posted by President Trump yesterday.
“Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump · 1d It wasn’t my fault that the Republicans didn’t live up to expectations in the MidTerms. I was 233-20! It was the “abortion issue,” poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters. Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again. Plus, Mitch stupid $’s!” –from TruthSocial.com, January 1, 2023, 2:37pm.
From that we got a plethora of people and sites claiming President Trump was blaming pro-life supporters AS A GROUP for underwhelming results in the midterm election of November 8, 2022. Gun-jumping click-bait fuckers.
There are also a lot of trolls pretending they were on our side and flipped over this or another issue. On those we call bullshit.
We will remain reality-based and break this into parts.
“It wasn’t my fault that the Republicans didn’t live up to expectations in the MidTerms. I was 233-20!”
There were 435 House seats up, and 1/3 of the Senate (that runs 33, 33, 34, over 3 election cycles then starts over). Because of special elections, there were actually 35 this time, so he endorsed in just over half of the races (253 of 470 = 53.8297872 or 53.83%). With 233 wins, that = 92.0948617 or 92.1%, which is an impressive record at picking anything.
“It was the “abortion issue,” poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters.”
Despite democRATs making it sound like almost most abortions are because of rape, incest and ‘life of the mother’, actually each account for LESS than 1% of all abortions. So the total for all 3 is less than 3%.
Imagine being a firefighter, and there is a burning building with 100 people in it. Now because you can only get 97 people out at this time and not all 100 together you sacrifice all 100 to make a point.
Our long standing position is that we will take that 97% any day, and then fight for the other 3% going forward. Those who want all or nothing must have very interesting relationships and jobs.
“Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again.”
That would be a Supreme Court (SCOTUS) that President Trump got THREE (3) justices on, and if his own second term that he actually won had not been stolen from him by democRATs, RINOs (Republicans IN NAME ONLY), MSM, Big Tech, Big Pharma, schemers and others, then Usurper in Thief Joe Biden wouldn’t have ILLEGALLY made Trump’s 4th SCOTUS pick.
He is saying that many did not appreciate his efforts, OR thought the battle was over, and therefore stayed home in the 2022 election. And he is likely correct. Complacency is a longstanding problem on the Right. We also have our share of traitors (HERE, HERE and HERE).
“Plus, Mitch stupid $’s!”
Despite some blaming Trump for not spending himself to help candidates (despite him campaigning all over the USA, although one ‘friend’ pushed him away), the blame for the Senate loss falls squarely on the RNC (RINO National Committee) and the respective House and Senate groups responsible for doing that.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is ostensibly headed by Rick Scott (Florida, R), but Mitch McConnell (Kentucky, RINO) was really pulling the strings, and he fucked a lot of electable people by pulling funding for them and sending it to Alaska to get fellow RINO Lisa Murkowski back in office.
The House effort was better, but it fell FAR short of the predicted ‘Red Wave’. The U.S. Senate loss is 100% Mitch McConnell’s fault. And the RNC ‘leader’ Ronna Romney McDaniel has now shown over 3 straight elections that she is either 1) way in over her head, OR 2) she is a complicit RINO piece of shit. Either way, she needs to be gone now!
Things aren’t always what they appear to be. Trump chose his words poorly, which is unusual for him, but his message was spot on. Those who aren’t willing to take 97% now while fighting for the other 3% later and then got their panties in such a bunch that they stayed home on election day were at fault…just not the entire pro-life movement. THAT was a ‘truth’ too far.
Parler is likely gone for good as of April 14, 2023. Twitter account abandoned May 12, 2023, after Elon Musk hired WEF’er Linda Yaccarino as new CEO.
